TYPE 83 SMG concept

Exploring weapon concept design directly in 3D, still learning but here is the current result. Introducing:

Type 83 Integrally suppressed SMG (Fictional)

The year is 1986. Upon seeing the Iranian Embassy Siege took place in British, China realized that they are in need of an brand new multi-purpose 9mm SMG that can do the job in case of similar situation. Taking feedback form some combat recon units stationed in Yunnan, the factory 951 research team in Xi’an designed a 9mm integrally suppressed SMG to fits the void of an modern special purpose SMG in Chinese firearm arsenal. The weapon project started in August of 1980 and the weapon was designed and tested in 1983, deployed in 1986.

Chambered in 9mm parabellum, the Type 83 SMG featured a robust integral suppressor that can reduce the sound signature of the weapon. When combined with sub-sonic ammunition the weapon is as quiet as MP5-SD. The weapon also comes with a unique mounting system that allows for the foregrip and red dot optic. At the same time, the SMG stills retains the basic control similar to Type 81 assault rifle and Type 79 smg so the operator can get familiar with the SMG within extreme short time.

83式内置抑制器冲锋枪 （架空）

时间来到了1986年。在目睹了发生在英国的伊朗大使馆人质事件后，中国意识到一把9毫米多功能冲锋枪可以在类似事件中发挥重要作用。在收集到驻扎在云南的侦察兵部队的作战反馈后，位于西安的951厂设计制造了一把内置抑制器的冲锋枪来填补中国武器里现代化特殊作战9毫米轻冲的空缺。冲锋枪项目与1980年8月开始立项，1983年完成设计和检验，1986年入列。

83式采用了9毫米巴拉贝鲁姆手枪弹。内置的耐用抑制器可以极大的降低武器枪声噪音。在使用亚音速子弹的情况下，武器和MP5-SD一样安静。83式冲锋枪也自带独特的配件安装系统，可以加装前握把和反射式红点瞄具。与此同时，83式冲锋枪仍然继承了81突击步枪以及79式冲锋枪的操作方式，可以让操作人员极短时间内迅速上手。
